Henry Manczyk is recipient of various energy and facilities management professional awards. Since 1985 he has been invited by elected officials, facility managers, and university faculty to review institutional programs for capital improvements, energy management, and pollution control in the United States and Europe. He draws on his technical knowledge and practical experience to provide a practitioner’s perspective in implementing national energy management objectives at a local level.

Objective:

Share knowledge and experience of facilities engineering and energy management techniques for achieving significant savings and cost avoidance through operating efficiencies, best practices, and low-cost/no-cost capital investments while maintaining or improving service quality and reliability.

Qualifications:

Professional facilities engineering, operations and energy management for local governments, hospital systems and public utilities 1976-2018.

Accomplishments:

Developed and implemented low cost/no cost energy management and capital improvement plans which resulted in $11,630,000 in cost savings and cost avoidance in four major building complexes for Monroe County, NY, since 1988-2002, and $5,000,000 in such savings for the City of Rochester, NY, 1976-1988

Significant improvements in employee moral and productivity, and operating efficiencies at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY, in six-month facilities management assignment for Aramark Corporation, 2004/2005. 2005 Recipient of “On Board” Campaign of Excellence Award.

Recipient of local, state, regional and national technology and energy management awards.

Since 1985 presentations to professional societies and engineering schools; publication of journal articles; evaluation and revision of ASHRAE professional standards and handbook chapters.

Appointed to ASHRAE society, state, and national boards and committees to advice on technology transfer projects, judge technical award competitions, coordinate regional energy-related governmental affairs activities, and assist in planning technical educational programs.
